In January of 2020, UQR took Bobkat to FS:Sydney 2020.

2020 was the first time that UQ Racing had ventured down to sydney with one of their FSAE-A challengers from the previous year. This was the second running of this event, and quite a few universities were in attendance to create a strong field.

With a few minor setbacks during Acceleration and Skidpad, namely breaking the throttle pedal and dealing with some bad weather, solid results were gained and ready for AutoX and Endurance on day two. AutoX started well, placing 3rd with a competitive time only 0.188sec behind RMIT Racing.

Endurance started well with no hiccups all the way up to the start of the final lap. The failure of a lower control arm spherical saw the front left wheel hanging on for dear life for one last wild lap before Bobkat crossed the finishing line for the final time in a competition.
