In 2015, we have made the first ever aerodynamic package in UQR history. This has been a huge undertaking by the aero students who have helped out. To achieve this, the students involved have designed their own aerofoils.
To make our aero system as simply and accurately as possible, we decided to use a polystyrene core. Koolfoam have been very helpful by cutting out wing profiles for the team which we then wrap in a composite shell. This has allowed the team to produce accurate composite profiles without the need for costly moulds.
