Every year, our team members from various backgrounds at the university take on the challenge of designing a functional car, while adhering to the competition’s rules. Points are awarded not only for designing a fast and agile car, but also one that is innovative, cost effective and well presented.
UQR provides an excellent hands-on learning experience for students. Our cars are built in-house, at our dedicated workshop. Assisted by our many sponsors we can learn practical skills and pass these on to the new members of the team every year.
The year of hard work culminates in Victoria where teams from around the world compete in FSAE – Australasia. Teams are required to compete in both static and dynamic events spanning key areas such as design, presentation, cost, acceleration, endurance and autocross
